ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly
commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars,

conflicts and peacekeeping operations honouring the contribution and suffering of all those

who have and continue to serve.


The MVP Community warmly invites Virtual Pilots from across the DCS World to participate in our annual
ANZAC Day Memorial Fly-Past for 2021.  This event is open to Virtual Pilots of all experience levels.

ANZAC DAY MEMORIAL FLY-PAST

EVENT SCHEDULE

1.  The MVP ANZAC DAY Memorial Fly-Past event will commence on Saturday (USA), 24th April - 23:00UTC.


2.  Join the MVP Aviation Playground MODS Server and spawn into your registered aircraft.


3.  Once loaded into the server, you will request your Start & Taxi Clearance from the MVP Event Control, which can be contacted via the 'ANZAC DAY' voice channel on the MVP Discord.  If you are flying as a group or team, please ensure you have all of your pilots ready before requesting your Start & Taxi Clearance.

4.  After receiving your start and taxi clearance, you will move to the Runway 27 09 Holding Point and request 'Takeoff Clearance'.


5.  On receiving your Takeoff Clearance, you will enter SENAKI Runway 27 and commence your takeoff, climbing on runway heading to 1,500ft, then tracking direct to KUTAISI on an approximate heading of 095 degrees.  KUTAISI is approx 19nm from SENAKI.

6.  On arrival to KUTAISI, pilots are welcomed to perform A SINGLE FLY-PAST of the MVP Cenotaph Memorial, which is located between KUTAISI Runway 07/25 and the parallel taxiway to the south, at airfield centre.

7.  Once abeam the KUTAISI Runway 25 threshold, you must perform a LEFT crosswind turn and circuit, to join downwind on KUTAISI Runway 07.

8.  On landing at KUTAISI Runway 07 you must exit the runway to the RIGHT, and taxi across the grass to the MVP Cenotaph Memorial, where you are invited to park and shutdown your aircraft.

9.  On arrival of the last aircraft, the MVP ANZAC DAY Memorial Service will commence, consisting of;

a.  Short Welcome address
b.  Playing of ANZAC Hymn
c.  Playing of the Last Post
d.  A Minutes Silence
e.  Playing of Reveille
f.  Spitfires & Mustangs Fly-Past
g.  Memorial Close

 

10.  Following the completion of the event, which will take approx 1 hour, the MVP Aviation Playground MODS Server will re-open for public free-flight.

WHAT IS A MEMORIAL FLY-PAST EVENT?

The MVP Memorial Fly-Past event is an opportunity to pay your respect to both past and current service men
and women.  Whilst the event is hosted in the virtual world, the gathering is a serious occasion.
We ask that each participant be respectful and mindful of the sense of occasion as we pay our

respects to those who have payed the ultimate sacrifice in their duty to country.

WHAT IS ANZAC DAY?

ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly
commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars,

conflicts and peacekeeping operations honoring the contribution and suffering of all those

who have and continue to serve.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO PARTICIPATE?
You must be over 16 years of age to participate in all MVP Community Events.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT?
To register, you will need to complete the event registration form, above the Frequently Asked Questions.

CAN A TEAM OR GROUP REGISTER TO TAKE PART?

Yes.  Teams or Groups may register to take part together.  Simply complete the registration form above.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS?

This event permits a maximum of 75 Virtual Pilot participants on the LIVE server at any time.
 

CAN I FLY A JET IN THIS EVENT?

No.  The ANZAC DAY event is for piston powered warbirds only.

ARE BEGINNERS ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE?

Yes, this event is open to Virtual Pilots of all experience levels.  To prepare yourself for this fun event, you
can access the MVP Aviation Playground MODS Server, where you can practice your takeoff and landing,
along with your ground taxi movements.

DO I NEED TO BE CONNECTED TO DISCORD FOR THE EVENT?

YES.  All event communications is broadcast on via the MVP Discord.  Please ensure that you have a
working headset and microphone for this event.

 

DO I NEED TO HAVE SRS AND TEAMSPEAK FOR THIS EVENT?

It is recommended.  To keep communications organized, participating Virtual Pilots are required to use
SRS and/or Teamspeak for their own private voice communications.  The event Air Traffic Control will be broadcast
on the MVP Discord voice channel.

CAN I FLY THIS EVENT WITH A CUSTOM SKIN?

YES.  Registered Virtual Pilots can fly with custom skins.  Please ensure you have uploaded your skins
on the Event Registration Form
